* Valuation assumes earning the listed welcome reward and using all travel/lodging credits; Venture X miles are valued at 1¢ per mile for travel, excluding everyday rewards and other benefits. Anniversary miles start at the first account anniversary and are excluded from year one. This is benefit value less the annual fee, not guaranteed cash earnings; unused benefits will overstate value.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Capital One card FAQs

Capital One miles have two main redemption methods:
1. Travel statement credits (Purchase Eraser): Redeem at a fixed 1 mile = 1 cent (1¢) against eligible travel purchases posted in the past 90 days, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and trains, with flexible redemption.
2. Airline and hotel partners: Transfer at applicable ratios (mostly 1:1, with some such as EVA Air at 2:1.5) to partners including EVA Air, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France/KLM Flying Blue, British Airways Executive Club, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, and Wyndham. Using transfers for international long-haul business class or sought-after flights can yield values of 1.5¢–2.0¢ or more per mile.

Capital One permits concurrent cardholding, but applies welcome-offer eligibility restrictions (these restrict bonuses, not approval itself):
• Applying for VentureOne: Official terms state that receiving a VentureOne, Venture, or Venture X welcome bonus in the past 48 months may make you ineligible for this card's bonus.
• Applying for Venture: Official terms state that receiving a Venture or Venture X welcome bonus in the past 48 months may make you ineligible.
• Applying for Venture X: Official terms refer only to a prior Venture X welcome bonus in the past 48 months.
Cards can coexist, subject to credit approval. Consider personal travel frequency and current offers: VentureOne provides no annual fee or 15 months of 0% introductory APR; Venture offers a first-year $300 lodging-booking credit bonus; Venture X provides ongoing lounge access and a $300 travel-booking credit.

$300 portal credit per cardmember year: Only usable at Capital One Travel checkout; expires at the next account anniversary. The credited portion earns no miles, cancellations restore only unexpired credit, and the account must remain in good standing.
10,000 miles annually from the first account anniversary; excluded from the opening year.
$300 portal credit per cardmember year; 10,000 miles from the first anniversary (renewal-year value of $400 with full use, not cash); the annual fee must still be deducted, and a profit is not guaranteed.

The guide's 2026 rules are as follows:
• Primary Venture X cardholder: Unlimited complimentary visits to Capital One Lounge and Landing locations and participating Priority Pass airport lounges worldwide.
• Venture X guests: Complimentary guest access has changed to paid access ($45 per adult visit to C1 Lounge/Landing, $25 for ages 2–17, and free under age 2; Priority Pass guests cost $35 per person per visit). Spending $75,000 per calendar year unlocks 2 complimentary guests at C1 Lounge and 1 at C1 Landing, but not complimentary Priority Pass guests.
• Venture X authorized users: Up to 4 authorized-user cards can be added without an annual fee and share 2X miles earning. Eligible authorized users may purchase lounge access for $125 per person per year. Eligibility includes age 18 or older, activated Capital One online banking, and SSN verification. Priority Pass requires separate enrollment; the add-on does not include complimentary guests.
• Venture cardholders: No complimentary lounge access. Under applicable terms, adult cardholders may purchase Capital One Lounge/Landing access for $45 per visit; Priority Pass is not included.
• VentureOne cardholders: No complimentary lounge access.
